So, finally, after 6 months of being on the 'back burner' I've put my first blog up! I've chosen a 'theme', thought of a catchy title, added a photograph......Not a good advert for my tag title I hear you say.....!
"Life is full of obstacle illusions"....but some projects actually do need to be prioritised and this one has finally reached the top of my 'Now Is The Time To Do' pile!
My aim is to write regular, interesting ideas and stories about a variety of topics but with an undercurrent theme of how you can remain motivated and inspired to achieve those things that start out as a dream.....
Dreams to Goals to Achievement!
Dreams can be triggered by a fleeting, random thought or being somewhere that really inspires you. A Goal is deciding that you want to achieve that specific Dream and will find a way to Achieve it - however and whatever it takes!
'Making stepping stones out of stumbling blocks' lays the strong, solid foundations that you will need when setting out your plan for your Dream research - it is so easy to give in after the first 'stumbling block' but, if that is turned into a 'stepping stone' it has a completely new meaning! It becomes the link between one mini goal and the next mini goal with the ultimate major goal one step closer!
Of course, all Dreams also have End By Dates (when you achieve your Goal) and it will mean that each Dream has a unique number of stepping stones and time span in order to reach its final destination. Like my first blog post this took longer than I had first anticipated - BUT - I had a Goal and I wanted to Achieve it.. It didn't matter when the End By Date was - the fact that it actually had one which was not ruled by a 'stumbling block stone' - was the key to Achieving it!
It may be that after sufficient research you find that your Dream is not going to be achievable in the near future. That's ok! Put it to one side where it can be kept safely. One day you may be able to re-visit it and find a new pathway to Achieving it.
As someone who loves organising anything, a qualified motivational Life Coach and a believer in Achieving Dreams, I hope you will find my future blogs interesting and helpful.
